About Me

My name is Lauren and I have sweet daughter named Aspyn. I am a single mama who is a total book nerd and my daughter is taking right after me! I started this blog because sharing books with the world that I find and love is my passion, especially diverse books. I love helping families find books they didn't even know was there.

I am a huge advocate for BIPOC and the LGBT community. As a white woman, I know it's my job to teach my little starting at a young age what being an ally is truly about. I pour my heart and soul into teaching my daughter, family and friends what it means to be an advocate. Books are the number one way to introduce your children to different cultures at a young age. Hopefully my book reviews and suggestions can help you find some amazing diverse books. 

This will always be a safe place for BIPOC and the LGBT community. I would love to hear your suggestions on books if I have missed any. We are all in this together! Remember, education is key. Children are never too young to learn about racism.
