This is another book from the Little People, BIG DREAMS series that my daughter adores. It’s a proud moment when she grabs for these herself & says “momma read please” I will never say no! The illustrations are beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
Araminta “Minty” Ross was born into slavery on a plantation in Maryland. When she planned to escape she changed her name to Harriet Tubman. Why did she decide one day to escape? Well, she was hit on the head that did enough damage to give her seizures for the rest of her life. Harriet helped countless slaves gain freedom as a “conductor” of the Underground Railroad. “She is a symbol of strength, hope, and bravery for many people around the world.” Absolutely could not have said it better myself!
This book is jam packed with so much education. I always wonder how they are able to get so much education in a children’s book. It amazes me! Children’s books aren’t just for children & I’ll scream that every day.
