This book is one of my babes favorite! We LOVE the Little People, BIG DREAMS series! It always amazes me how they are able to get so much in a children’s book.

Rosa Parks was an American activist & one of the most IMPORTANT figures in the civil rights movement. When Rosa Parks was 30 years old, she became a leader in the NAACP. On December 1st, 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested in Montgomery, Alabama for refusing to give her bus seat up to a white person.

“People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically… No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in”- Rosa Parks (this came from her autobiography)

These books are an amazing way to get your littles introduced to the REAL American history & what BIPOC went through (and still do).
